Chapters Steps

Milestones and eras

Steps is the second group on the Transition tab.

A milestone is a day that mattered, or will. One still ahead counts down, and one behind you comes back each year as an anniversary. You can note how it felt when you add it and again on each anniversary.

Eras are stretches of time you name yourself, such as "before I knew". They show as bands behind your milestones, and Look back can use one as its stretch. You make and edit them in Settings.

Tryouts

A tryout is something you are trying: a name or pronouns, a style, a garment, makeup, or a step in how you present. It has a start date and, once you stop, an end date. Note how it feels as often as you like, and add photos. Several can run at once.

Voice

Practice, the voice benchmark and your recordings share one screen.

A benchmark is a take made the same way every time: the same passage read and the same vowel held. That keeps takes months apart comparable. It shows figures such as pitch and speaking rate next to your own earlier takes, and gives no verdict on your voice.

Wear time

Wear time is for binder, tucking and compression wear. Start a timer, or fill in a session afterwards, with a note on comfort or pain. You can set a reminder for a number of hours you choose. With a binder, a quiet cue appears at eight hours, and you can turn it off.

The screen also shows binder safety guidance and its sources.

Hair removal

Hair removal logs electrolysis and laser sessions, with the area, method, pain, cost, provider and photos. The screen shows how long it has been since the last one.

The roadmap

The transition roadmap lists the steps of the Polish transition procedure. Poland is the only country so far. The steps are roadmap goals, grouped into four roadmap tracks: social, legal, presentation and medical.

Goals can be done in any order, and no track waits on another. Tick a goal once it is done, or mark it not my path. You can mark a whole track the same way, and put it back later.

You can add your own goals to any track, and file documents against a goal.

The roadmap describes the procedure and never says what to do in your own case. It shows the date its content was last checked against its sources.

Transition roadmap shows the Polish pack and checklist goals in the social track.

Time-capsule letters

Write a letter to yourself and pick the day it opens. It stays sealed until then, and after that you can read it whenever you like. Letters about to open show on Today, under Coming up.

The Open section also shows the photos you have starred.
